Had a week off from my job the past week (Woo!) and it was good to get away from the job for several days.
Originally, I was planning to use this week off to go out of town, preferably to Chicago to attend the Wizard World comic book convention, which I had heard about several months ago, which would've been nice, cause it would've given me the opportunity to visit a few of my online friends who live in the area.
But the monster that is paying the bills pretty much shot that trip idea all to hell. It sucks, but you deal. And, I'm definitely going to head out there next year for sure.
So what did I do this week?
Write. Write. Write and write some more.
It was good, got to really do a lot of work on some of my short stories that have been collecting dust for days, weeks and months. A lot of the stuff you'd see posted on my website very very soon.
I also got to post up my long gestating novel in progress, A Date with Destiny. I've been working on it off and on and mostly off for quite a while now, but I got the chance recently to dust it off and move it over from the Werewolf TV Series Forum to my webpage (It's still at the other site as well)
It's good to be back working on it again and it's also good to hear some people's comments about it as well, mostly favorable. I've always had it in my mind to make it a novel and try to get it published one day. So getting back at it will hopefully help speed the progress. So I'm going to keep at it and see what happens.
I also have another novel I'm trying to work on that's gotten good buzz, but it's going to be a while before I post that on my page.
Well it was a fun week. A chance to relax and enjoy one of my favorite hobbies. Tomorrow, I gotta get back at work. Can you tell I'm looking forward to it?
Before I go though, I do want to give some shoutouts to several new online buds I've met recently. I want to say hey to Cody, Chase and Jay, who's from my home state of Michigan.
Nice meeting you guys and welcome to the Network.
That's it for now. Blog at you later.
